With all that shingle mingle and cobble wobble going on, Europe looked pretty cozy in its old gold skin. Some of it was artsytecture and some the texture of modernity. A lot of it was the stolen glory of colonial robbery, but that was easy enough to forget – hold on a second… now will you look at this palace – forget what?
glimpse: HARDHEADED HEART | When you’re in love, in a happy relationship, or a fresh arrival to the honeymoon phase, the heart exclaims boldly that the feeling will last. And no matter how skeptical the mind, no matter how condescendingly it unveils the heart’s youthful foolishness, it can’t tame the wildly beating chest. In Paris, couples prove their faith in the hardheaded heart by fastening padlocks to bridges along the Seine river and tossing the key into the water. How many of the relationships are still locked in the sturdy embrace is unknown, but there’s certainly no lack of believers.
glimpse: REFLECTING UPON THE HUMAN CONDITION | Reflecting upon the human condition means balancing on an exploratory tightrope between the diverse complexity and unifying simplicity at its heart. People live vastly diverging lives across the world, but the more so within one nation, region or group. Everywhere you find the same distinctions: optimists and pessimists, introverts and extroverts, folks lending hands and those using elbows, dreamers and doers, dreaming doers. Playdough in the hands of nature, nurture, and our own decision making, we are formed into all sorts of character shapes, steered by the same drives. These conspicuous similarities, our universal differences, unite us as one species of monkey merely disguised in a human wardrobe. In the same breath, our distinct experiences assemble unique minds, feelings and memories - our very own worlds.

The Street Around the Corner
tripping over nothing in everyday streets
Not imposing any art on them or desperately extrapolating some moxie that isn’t there, I strip their description down to only one statement and this is final: these are streets. see more
Office Prison Symmetry
behind bars: office or prison?
Looking at it from the outside, I can’t help but seeing bars in the symmetry that comes with the sterile and institutional blueprint of office buildings around the world. see more
allures of the dark side
...for the daring nocturnal creatures among us, there is a deserted, silent world waiting after hours; and like moths we flutter towards its discoveries, wherever a speck of light flecks the darkness. see more
