it's getting AI-y out there, but there's also real news



Is it just me, or is it getting pretty AI-y out there? Artificial intelligence is making inroads into more and more aspects of daily life – at times sneaking in undetected, at times entering the arena of public discourse in a flaming chariot. The creative community is an obvious group to collide with the new technology. To some creatives, AI is just a lie. Others speak their truths with it, enamored with a new form of expression. Follow me to Berlin to figure out what's what, and then on to some other places and news:





 

RIVALS roundup



I’m happy that I got to attend the inauguration of RIVALS – Photography vs Promptography, and meet my fellow artists participating in this groundbreaking group show that was part of the European Month of Photography in Berlin! Both Forbes and Petapixel covered it with great articles if you’re curious about the exhibition’s unique concept, pitting photos against prompts. Here are some excerpts and my stance on where we stand:

KAAF catalogue feature


Before F L A M I N G O N E went viral, it was featured in the creative section of last year's KAAF catalogue. Now its cousin S E L F I E N D was selected for the latest edition alongside some truly inspiring images in the black and white section.
