We're not even halfway through another record summer, but it seems like we've stopped counting—records, summers, days till doomsday. The climate catastrophe keeps knocking, but we're busy procrastinating while people are dying so-called "excess deaths" in extraordinary heatwaves that are becoming ever more extra and ever more ordinary. Instead of putting our minds and monies towards climate solutions, we're coming up with new ways to wreck the planet. Like AI. Rome-ing
From Amsterdam to Paris and Rome, I've been roaming quite a bit lately, doing my share to contribute to global warming. In my defense, it is what I do for a living and I try to keep my emissions to a minimum along the way, but still. No matter how conscious, no matter how engaged, we could all do better. Anyway, in the communal spirit of whatever, let me move on. My next home: Belgrade. Stay tuned for new content.
