One stared right at me with so much bold confidence that it far outsized its stature. Must have been that dinosaur lineage and the 230-million-year success story it told. What was I gonna do? I might rule the world, but I just got here a tender 300,000 years ago—so I didn’t argue with those beasts.

I might care more about seeing the world than the world seeing me, but then again, I did start and finish this sentence with I.
